Notes above and below the staff



The higher the note is placed on the staff, the higher the pitch.
This continues even above the lines of the staff.
Notes can also go far below the lines of the staff.

Ledger lines help!



Notes that are above or below the staff receive their own mini staff lines, called ledger lines. This makes them easier to read.
